GEM – Gather, Engage, Make a Difference.
This is our discipleship process and our philosophy of ministry. We know what we are supposed to do:
“Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father of of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you”
Matthew 28:19-20
GEM is how we communicate, in a simple yet complete way, just how MCC will do her part to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus.
Gather –
We gather in two ways: whenever we come together as a church family (primarily Sunday mornings), and whenever we go out and gather others to come into the church with us (outreach). As a church we will seek to help you find connection with God and with others through the ways we gather.
Engage –
Believers in Christ must engage God’s Word and engage other believers; therefore, growing in knowledge and in fellowship are the emphases of this step. Beyond Sunday mornings, we can engage through small groups and Sunday morning classes.
Make a difference –
Our faith naturally results in action. The church exists for the benefit of its non-members; therefore, we desire to create a culture of serving and commitment in our efforts to share Christ with the world.
